I'm with you on both fronts. If I have someone engaging with me on what I'm making the slog is easier to get through. I work best on a back and forth feedback. Even if I've got 50 to do, if I can do 5 a night and share those with a collaborator and get feedback while I'm doing the next 5 it goes much much faster.

Honestly it was the worst part of losing one of my best friends a few years back, they were always up to collaborate on stuff so I was able to finish a lot more projects. Their wife wasn't super cool about things when I came out unfortunately and it was stay friends with me or stay married =/
