Looking for folks to test out the recent changes in #tootstream as we converge upon the 0.3.4 release:
Please let us know if there are any issues you run across or things that aren't as clear as they should be.
Thanks for flying #tootstream!
@craigmaloney It seems to work ok with glitch.social.
I'm not achieving to add another instance.
I'm I supposed to do "tootstream --instance tabletop.social" to add another instance?
Sorry if it is not the right place to ask
@mxfraud Try tootstream -i [hostname] -P [name-you-want-to-call-it] and then use tootstream -P [name-you-want-to-call-it] to load the config for that instance.
@craigmaloney the command worked, but the auth doesn.
I get "Click the link to authorize login.
I open that link, hit the authorize button.
I get a token.
I copy the token to tootstream.
I get Error authorizing app. Did you enter the code correctly?
I'm on branch release/0.3.4
Anything I can test/do to help debug ?
@mxfraud I'm getting an error authorizing app as well. Checking what's going on.
@craigmaloney I don't have access to the logs (and the it is late to ask the admin for logs rigth now). That said, I'm happy to give you temporary admin rights on then instance if that helps.
@mxfraud Nah, I think there's something else at play. Let me check the version number as apparently others are having problems using OAuth.
@craigmaloney if I can help to test, or in any capacity, do give me a shout.
@mxfraud I'm getting the following error:
mastodon.Mastodon.MastodonIllegalArgumentError: Invalid access token or redirect_uris: ('Mastodon API returned error', 401, 'Unauthorized', 'invalid_grant')
So not sure if that's something server related, but it mighht be something to check in the logs.
@craigmaloney Do you have a timestamp for this particular request and would you mind giving me your IP in a DM?
I'll ask for the logs, but I know that the admin will appreciate these two nugget of data to provide me (and you) the right bits of logs
@mxfraud Awesome! Glad to hear it!
