@Yoric It started out as a backpack for a 3-5 day hike/camp this coming May, but as I was putting it together thought it would also make for a good emergency bag in case of climate disaster. Living in the PNW there's always fears about the Cascadia fault line.
@attercap Makes sense. I've known people from Soviet-time Eastern Europe who used to have their luggage ready, just in case the government decided to arrest them for no reason and they had to flee...
