self-promotion #TTRPG

I got to do an Actual Play session!

I have been playing TTRPGs since the 90s (anyone remember Amber?!) but rarely get invited to do these, so I'm stoked.

Plus the system is so clean - 4D6 with enough mechanisms the structure gives me guide-rails but enough freedom that you feel like the collaborative narrative is the core.

Anyhoo... if you're bored, check it out. Paula Deming GM'd and Danny Quach, Ross Connell, and Mandi Hutchinson are awesome.

alleged toxic working conditions

“They envision themselves as being the good guy, but they have no introspection at all. It comes out as being manipulative and toxic, and it eats away at who you are. They don't mean to do it, but the end result is the same.”

Just a reminder about Mastodon.

Try not to directly upload videos here.
You have to remember that these videos have to be stored on the server that you're hosted on.

This would also eat up on available bandwidth, storage and memory resources of said servers and slow them down. Which would force server hosts to upgrade at a substantial cost.

Suggested idea...

Upload to Peertube, Vimeo or other video streaming services and share the link to the video here instead.

re: musing on BG twitter on mastodon

As @425suzanne just mentioned, I'm very conscious that there's already a community here that just got flooded. I feel a little like someone who just wandered into a small pub to the bemusement of the locals.

Hopefully we can expand the vibe of what you've set up, rather than seem like we're gentrifying the place.

musing on BG twitter on mastodon

I feel hyperaware that this instance is a pre-existing community before a buncha board game twitter folks came in. I bet everyone is being really awesome - but I also suspect it's impacting those who've been here for awhile a lot as folks come in eager but coltish. I suspect it's not bad, but it could feel overwhelming. That's definitely shaping how I behave here right now.

Thanks for everyone who's been so welcoming. I appreciate your openness and patience.

I'm not at all confident I'm using Mastodon correctly, having now registered three separate times. I now know how my parents felt (feel?) asking how the ipad works.

We are an inclusive Mastodon community for everything tabletop (and more).
